Pubs in bakewell/matlock

Does anyone have a recommendation of a nice pub to stay in in these areas ? I have a budget of £200 for 2 nights.

Derwentwater Arms - it’s nothing fancy, but it’s within your budget, has great food and friendly staff.

I've stayed at The Manners Bakewell which was nice (5 years ago though)

We were in the Manners (just to eat) only last week!

Oh the manners is one I’ve looked at! Looks nice enough, we don’t want anything fancy. Pub, nice food and a pint

If you want something a bit more rural, the Angler's Rest in Millers Dale (between Bakewell and Buxton) is nice and just in budget, depending on when you want to go.

We stayed at the grouse & claret a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised. It’s over a marstons pub so nothing too fancy food wise but it was a lovely location to be based from.
