DH & I are staying in Waterloo at the end of August & I wondered what restaurants people can recommend. We like a lot of different cuisines.

Flat Iron for steak
Wahaca is a good for chain mexican
Ping Pong for chinese food
Sticky Mango for Thai
Skylon for views (expensive)

You could easily walk to the south bank from there, and there is the food market at the back of the Festival Hall, as well as Gabriels Wharf.

Many many options!

Lots of choice on the Southbank without a doubt. Also on ‘The Cut’ towards Southwark there are options. Have fun.

Anchor and Hope on the Cut - top award winning pub, with fantastic food and wine list.

There’s a lovely little Italian on the Cut too, Olivelli. Near Flat Iron which is also fab if you like steak!

Waterloo is mostly chain restaurants.

Head towards London Bridge and Borough Market. Loads of nice places there - I like Roast and Fish which are right in the market. Padella is good too!

My favourite around there is the Caprini Restaurant, 77 Waterloo Road, a lovely friendly Italian restaurant that I've gone to since I was a young girl.
