Things to do around Stirling..

Hello,

Posting this on behalf of my mum who will be travelling to Stirling in August (9th - 11th)

They will be taking grandchildren (DGS5 & DGD10), they're hoping to book into Blair Drummond Safari Park but we've been told there's a bike race that will be taking place near so we're preparing for the possibility it may not be open.

Aside from Stirling Castle. Are there any must see areas, places, things to do or even travel (max 30 minutes in car) to do whilst they're there? 🙂

They're staying at glamping pod in area of Clackmannan, FK10 4BW.

Ah we had an amazing day there! Saw a fabulous sea lion show, went boating on the lane, so much to do!

I love Blair Drummond too, they have loads of animals, we have season tickets so go a lot. There’s a cafe where healthier food is served lots of different choices in the park, bbq/pizza etc. We went to briarlands recently and it is fab but it was tractor weekend and my son was a bit upset by all the honking horns so in hindsight I chose the wrong day to go. It’s lovely on a nice day

the cycle race sounds quite full on a friend was telling me about it last night, half of Stirling is being ripped up roads closed etc

That sounds great @Piffpaffpoff! I worked at the Tour of Yorkshire a few times. We go to Crieff every August. Was looking forward the UCI worlds, until my nephew decided to get married!
