Things to do near Harry Potter Studios

Just sorting out our summer break at the moment. We've a few nights at a hotel in North London where we'll be mostly going into London by train and leaving the car at the hotel . Then two nights in Watford and have Harry Potter Studios booked on the second day. No idea what to do on the changeover day- need to leave car park in first hotel by 10am. Any ideas on anything else fun to do in the area near Harry Potter Studios for 2 adults and a 9 year old boy who loves Harry Potter, mini golf, history and exploring?

Or Puttshack indoor mini-golf?

The zoo? We did the HP studios one day and Whipsnade the next

There is lots to do in Watford Town centre..other than shopping: mini golf, bowling, climbing, cinema etc shopping though is good. Good access to big local park from town centre with splash park, river and canal

Where in north London?

Seem to recall we fitted in a trip to an aircraft museum when we went to Harry Potter studios.

Fairly near Wembley Stadium I think. Thanks for the various suggestions - not sure I could sell ds and dh on shopping but Puttshack looks fab!

RAF museum at Hendon? Probably 30 mins drive from Watford

Cassiobury Park is lovely - big splash pools, mini railway, canals, woods etc.

Theres a climbing place in the shopping centre (Atria) too.

Hendon RAF museum is a good shout from PP.
