Things to do near Helmsley

Hi. We’re going on holiday near Helmsley in Yorkshire this summer. Looking for things to do with a 15 year old and 13 year old. We will have the dog in tow too. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Biking at Sutton Bank is great, brilliant pump track and then cycle routes with amazing views, on a par with Dalby Forest, but closer to Helmsley and you can also walk in the other direction and watch the Gliders going off over the White Horse. Makes a great day out. Go Ape at Dalby, a walk up to the Bridestones or just messing about in the steam are all good options as well. North Yorkshire Water Park at Wykeham lakes and Alpamare water park at Scarborough or Spalsh Zone at Bridlington depending on how far towards the coat you want to travel. Day trip into York - museums, boat trips, shopping, walk the walls, etc.
