Blackpool for a day

We’re spending a day in Blackpool this weekend with DC aged 8 and 4. Looking for recommendations as older DC isn’t fond of amusement rides so that rules out the pleasure beach.

Pleasure Beach is well over priced so avoid it. If anyone fancies a ride on something ,both central and south pier have rides. The big wheel is located on central. The tower is ok. Great view from the top. Kelloges are currently running the merlin vouchers so 1 of you can get in free to the tower. The beach is nice. Lots of fish and chips places and ice cream parlors. Coral Island arcade is huge with lots of family games.

There are arcades all along the front and on the piers, weather will be good but there is sealife centre and the dungeons too. Go to the top of the tower? Forecast is probably best it could possibly be for doing that. Failing that check your tide times and just have a beach day. It will be very busy as it's bank holiday weekend

Coral island - classic arcade with lots of penny games and amusements

Notriannis - the best ice cream ever without a doubt! Only serve vanilla ice cream but they do sundaes, milkshakes etc with lots of toppings. It's absolutely delicious.

Blackpool Zoo / Sea Life - fairly good for young DC although quite small

Dungeons - might be a bit scary depending on your DC

Tower - great view from the top especially on a good day!

Piers - both have amusements and snacks to get, with the hot donuts you can't go wrong 😊

It will probably be rammed for the bank holiday though so be prepared!

Coral Island
Central or North Pier.
Tram from North Shore to Cleveleys if you wanted a wander down a high street away from the main part of Blackpool. They do have heritage trams which are quirky.
Notriannis
