What do I need for the beach

I'm taking my child to the beach this weekend. Fingers crossed for good weather. Is there anything in particular you think I'll need and wish I'd have taken?? I've got a brolly and suncream and a large blanket to sit on.

Some talc to brush the sand off your feet and legs.
Bucket and spade
Freeze a half filled water bottle then top it up with cold water in the morning before you leave so you have a cold drink available till lunch

Water to drink (maybe freeze some of it)
Towel for sandy feet or to dry after paddling
A clean set of clothes for DC
Bucket and spade

How old is the child?

We load up a collapsible wagon with towels, pop up shade tent, picnic, water, sunscreen, age appropriate toys, and one of those 5l containers filled with tap water to rinse feet at the end of the day if there is no tal. My kids are stupidly fussy about sand on their feet.

The wagon sounds like a good idea!

We have a shade tent l, used by the 4 legged child. Cool bag with drinks and snacks if you are on a strict budget.

Swim shoes for the little if it’s their first time- £4 in sports direct. My son was weirded out his first time at the beach.
A hat, sun cream.

Several layers depending on the weather - it can be breezy at the coast.
A full change of clothes (at least one if you're with my 2!!!) for when they're wet.
Snacks - a must.
A ball or something to throw if they're not into digging/ sandcastles.

Ice cream money.

I like a low beach seat with a backrest.
