We are a family of 5 going in July sometime to London. Our requirements are - somewhere central we will be takingin the Nat Hist Museum, The Eye and King Tuts exhibition - those are the must dos anything else will be a bonus. So where can we get good accommodation in a family room. I have looked at loads of hotels but am hoping for "a find". Thanks.

City Inn, Westminster - it is next door to the Tate, with the london eye, houses of parliament a short walk away. If you go at the weekend you will only pay £99 per room per night - which is very reasonable for central london...

I'd go for Travelodge in Covent Garden (Drury Lane) and see if you can get 2 interconnecting rooms. If oyu book now you may get a bargain. I'm assuming you want basic not luxury. They are basic but clean etc. No toiletries provided so you need to take them,

Couldn't agree more WWW. We were very lucky and got a room at the CV Travelodge for £26 last August!!!!!!! Gotta keep checking the website.
