ParkDean experiences? Sandybay?

Hello mumsnet,

I'm looking for reassurance really - has anyone stayed in a parkdean resort and/or stayed at sandy bay? And was it okay? Can the kids use the pool adhoc?
We've booked one of the newer wider caravans for June - unsure if we've done the right thing!

We are there right now. Its fine. Caravans are the size of a house and well furnished.
Theres only a beach at low tide and be careful in the estuary.
Pool is small - limited changing but on an hourly session you need to book. Shop is extortionate. Entertainment good for littles (even if you want to pull your hair out). Lots of owners.
Imagine it will be busy later.

We've had lodges on 3 parkdean parks a number of times. Ty Mawr in Wales, Fallbarrow in Bowness and Cayton Bay just outside Scarborough. We don't use the entertainment but the lodges have all been immaculate and the parks are always clean and tidy.

Avoid Parkdean Heacham if you like swimming in the sea. DEFRA have designated the water quality 'poor' and advise against swimming. It has been named as one of the Top 20 polluted beaches where swimming is not advised. This is a longstanding issue over several years, not a temporary storm sewer thing.
