Hotel for Chepstow racecourse - or cost of taxi from Bristol?

I've booked surprise tickets to a gig at the racecourse for my DD's 21st but I'm struggling to find accommodation for her and her friend in the town. There's lots available in Bristol but I'm not sure how much a taxi there and back would be.

Can anyone help please?

Try the two rivers hotel. its not too far.

There are hotels in town which are a 10min walk - beaufort hotel,

Taxis to Bristol will cost a bomb!

also try the coach and horses, the three tuns, the first hurdle guest house,

if you want price up a taxi try K&M taxi - if you email they will send you a price

I've tried both of those and theyre booked up, most places in the town seem to be. They wont mind paying maybe £20ish for a taxi (each way), any ideas of anywhere within a few miles instead?

Not sure of the dates (I have my suspicions as I'm going to 2 gigs there this summer 😅) but this is about a 15 minute drive away

Saying that, theres prob a minimum stay for holiday lets.

Think there are some sort of hotels at Magor Services which is easily accessible from Chepstow?

Have you tried Lydney? There's the Swan Hotel there, plus a few guesthouses.

Also a few camp/glamp sites around the area if you don't mind roughing it.

The Swan is also sold out - I think it’s a popular weekend 🤦🏻

Taxi to Bristol will prob be about 30-40 each way depending on where in Bristol

You could try the backpackers hostel - it’s in town centre so walkable from the racecourse

Thanks all for your help, I’ve managed to book a room in Lydney - it looks like there is a train from there to Chepstow which should save them a few quid. @AnotherOneGone good suggestion 😊
