Center Parcs - day guests

Ive booked a (really expensive) 4 bed lodge and myself and another mum are taking six teens for a post GCSE treat. The problem is that after booking the seventh member of their tribe said he really wants to come too but theres no space. Will I be able to buy him guest passes for the sat and sunday and then just let him sleep on the sofa on saturday night, or will i get a knock in the middle of the night? His parents dont seem inclined to drive him there and back. I want to be nice, but dread ending up with some sort of nightmare.

They are all over that

We live near a CP and lots of people locally work there .... the stories!!

When we went on a day pass we were check in and checked out...we did have the car though so not sure of thats the reason why, might be different for a foot passenger!

There is no way on this planet I would do this as it would be awkward and I hate feeling like I'm in the wrong.

But, there's a chance you'll get away with it OR that you won't but they won't have much choice as they can't exactly send a 16yo kid off in the dead of night on their own. It just doesn't sound very treat-y to me doing it that way, but I'm a bit law abiding!

You'd get a knock. No doubt. But I understand feeling like you're leaving him out. If you're willing to pay for a day pass and his parents won't even bring him and take him home again then I'd just say sorry let's plan something else together for after.

Thanks so much for the heads up. I definitely don’t want a knock or drama so I won’t attempt this one! Thanks again…xxx

We got a knock! Our friends had actually gone home, but just not checked out at the welcome lodge.

You can add as many people to your booking as you have beds for.... I have just amended my booking today!

Had a 3 bedroom lodge (sleeps 6) but originally only booked for 5. Rang today and added my sister- no extra charge as we have a lodge that has capacity for her.

Surely in a 4-bed there are 8 beds?

Yes 6 teenagers plus OP and I assume her partner = 8 people.

Plus a 7th teen = 9.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 18/04/2023 19:26

OP I'd say you'd need to get a bigger/another lodge. Sorry.

justsayingthat · 18/04/2023 19:30

Oops- just re-read post and seen you mentioned another mum. Your lodge is already full so my comment is irrelevant. Sorry l.

Not been to CP for a while but I remember them counting the occupants in the car last time we went, so I assume they are pretty hot on it.

You could still add him as an official guest and pay accordingly and then let him sleep in the sofa...

You are dead right - we are at eight. We are trying to add an extra apartment/lodge! xx
