Looking for a short break to visit Thorpe park and maybe a show and walk about in London. We will be driving to Thorpe but would like to get the tube to central London so want to stay nearby/central between the two. Ideally looking for a premier Inn any suggestions?

Feltham has a very regular and quick train line to central London.

You just want to be near somewhere on the main railway line to Waterloo. Will be much quicker than taking a tube into central London

Premier inn in Staines could
work- trains to Waterloo, park in nearby car park.

Or somewhere on the Elizabeth line (Slough, iver etc)

Surbiton or Wimbledon are handy for Waterloo and not too long a drive to Thorpe Park. Wimbledon also has the District Line as well as overground.

Manor Hotel in Datchet if you want something with more character

Wouldn't stay there again after a wedding with mouldy beds....think it's still a refugee hotel.

Ooh, really!? Been years since I was there!

Thorpe park isn't near a tube it's nearest town in Staines you can get the train into Waterloo easily.

Oh god don't stay in Feltham OP! Staines marginally better. Windsor is nice, but not the most convenient for either TP or getting into town.

BillLius · 28/03/2023 23:14

I think Feltham has a certain charm.

That must be sarcastic, surely @BillLius 🤣

(Disclaimer: Feltham born and bred!)
