Snowdon

I'd really like to go up Snowdon again with my teen 3 kids. Thinking about Easter or summer hols.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay nearby?

Any advice would be very much appreciated too!

Thanks

Just to clarify, this would be a family of 5.

We have stayed a few times at the Tyn-y-Coed hotel in Capel Curig, although it's since changed hands.

My friend has a lovely air bnb in Llanrug. She's local and it's a meagre living but it's beautiful. On ig welshslatemill

Easter could be very busy, it has also snowed in the past so take care!

Llanberis has loads to do for teens apart from climbing Snowdon (depending how long you are going for ) and is the start of the easiest path. I recommend Llanberis. We stayed in a fan Airbnb place there. Then you can walk to the start and not have to worry re finding car parking etc.

Fab not fan

@TeaCupFlower we walked up Snowdon last weekend with our two older teens. Had an amazing time!
We stayed in an Air BnB in Llanberis, caught the Sherpa bus to Pen Y Pass at 8am, walked up the Miner's track and back down Llanberis path into the village. The village was pretty quiet but no surprise in Feb.
The weather was beautiful, sunny but very cold/windy/icy at the summit.
Make sure you're prepared for all weathers, even in April; we saw loads of people in thin hoodies, leggings and trainers on the way up as we were heading down, they'd really struggle further up as it was incredibly cold.
