Just booked a week in Devon, early July.

Any recommendations for quiet beaches, hidden treasures or good places to eat? Kids are 8 and 10. We will be near Kingsbridge 😊

Thanks!

Good list of lesser known beaches in the South Hams area in the above. South Hams is absolutely beautiful. Busier beach is Bigbury-on-Sea with a lovely cafe overlooking the beach and Burgh Island which can be reached by Sea Tractor! Bantham beach is lovely too. Slapton Sands has historical WWII interest and Slapton Ley is a beach and nature reserve. Lobster Pod bistro in Hope Cove has good reviews and the Cove is lovely with walks around the coast through an ancient woodland. I could go on!

Lots of sandy beaches by Salcombe, but to get the afternoon sun you need to take the ferry across from Salcombe to the other side of the estuary to the East Portlemouth side (or drive down the single track lanes). There's a beach called Mill Bay at the end.
If you go into Salcombe then visit Cranchs sweet shop. I've been going there for about 50 years!

Whereabouts in Devon, south, north? It’s a big county!

Said nr kingsbridge in the OP!

South Milton, book at the Beach House Cafe, Hope cove has two beaches and a couple nice pubs, can walk there on the coast path from south Milton. Salcombe south sands, try the winking prawn for food 😊

Gara Rocks beach, bit of a hike back up at the end of the day but totally worth it.
