We have two five day blocks in June and August. We have a 4 year old and an 18 month old. Happy to travel across most of the U.K.

We need holiday inspiration! Where shall we go?

Definitely Northumberland in August, lovely beaches and it's not too crowded.

We love The Lake District in June but our son is older. Still plenty to do that isn't hiking and a beautiful part of the country.

Lake Windermere and surrounding area was a big hit with my 4 year old. We went to the World of Beatrix Potter, took a boat trip across the lake, spent a whole day at Brockhole (probably our favourite!) and another day at Grizedale (Superworm trail and adventure play). We had one rainy day so we went to the aquarium at Newby Bridge and then the steam railway.
