Just looking at possibly booking a few nights away in Edinburgh and am astounded at the cost of hotels now. We last stayed there 2 years ago & to book the same hotel for the same number of nights during the same week (May half term - not even school hols in Scotland) is more than 3 times more expensive than when we last went.
Have I just picked a bad time to look (pre any possible new year sales?) or is that really how much prices have gone up by?! Would I be better waiting til the new year/closer to the date or is it only likely to go up more?
