Ronnie Scott for beginners?

My DH is keen to go to Ronnie Scott’s. It’s easy for us to get to and so we are flexible on dates and travel but we’re in no way music/jazz buffs and are just looking for a “nice day/evening out”. Has anyone been and can recommend which entry-level events to book?!

It’s jazz-lite/mainstream anything you book will be good.

It’s a nice venue, you can’t speak during the music, they come to you to take your dunks order. If you don’t go for dinner there first, you have to take your seats by 9pm.
