Help re Parking nr northern Jubilee Line to get tube to Wembley?

We have tickets for a show on Tuesday at Wembley Troubadour theatre. Bought ages ago for DD and assumed it would be easy by public transport. It turns out this would take us around three hours there and four hours back by train/tube/replacement bus so I am looking at driving (from Cambs).

I can’t book a parking space at Stanmore, I assume it gets full of commuters. Is there a station on that route I should aim for?

It looks as thought there are a couple of biggish things on in and around Wembley that day so am not sure it’s going to be possible to park there.

Can anyone with local knowledge please advise on our best transport mode/parking options? Thanks.

Try Pinner.

Is it Tuesday evening?

you’ll likely to be ok to park at stanmore after about 6 as commuters will be leaving , plus most areas are single yellow lines and therefore free after 6.30. Plenty of evening parking around Northwood Hills (met line) also direct to Wembley

Stanmore station car park can get full up if there are big events on at Wembley. When I want guaranteed parking near the jubilee line then I use one of those "park on my drive" sites to book a space - it costs more, but it stops me worrying about the parking. Look around Canons Park (next tube stop down) as well as Stanmore.

Alternatively you could look at parking near a Metropolitan line station like Northwood or Watford, but I don't know what the parking options are there.

We got a space easily at Stanmore when we went to Coldplay at Wembley in the summer.
We have also booked parking on driveways and it’s been fine.

Some places on the jubilee line (West Hampstead, St John’s Wood) further towards central london have free parking after 6:30pm. Or arrive at 5:30pm and pay for an hour in a bay and then it will be free after 6:30pm. Very quick to zoom out to Wembley on tube from there.

Parked at Stanmore recently for an event at Wembley on a train strike day and it was fine.

If you have time there's a good designer outlet there that actually has good discounts. You'll see the troubadour easily if you've not been there before as it has a lit up sign on the top of it.

Park near Canons Park or Queensbury

Park at Wembley stadium?

Differentnamedifferentplace · 03/12/2022 16:59

Park at harrow-on-the-hill Met line. Lolands road side there are pay and displays right by the tube that are only until 6.30pm. Only a couple of stops to Wembley on the Met line

Apparently on street parking at Stanmore worked, thanks! I didn’t get to go in the end 🤒
