Calling all those in Edinburgh!

I'm going to visit Edinburgh with DP and DS(3) in mid Feb for a few days and I'm looking for ideas for things to do. I'm thinking - Zoo, shopping and maybe a swim. Do you have any top tips for me or suggestions of things to do please?

there are MILLIONS of threads on this. botanical gardens, national museum of scotland. commonwealth pool is enormous with slide and things and big softplay centre but i prefer the smaller victorian baths. will dig out other threads later
