Had a rubbish time last few weeks so looking at booking a night or 2 away in October half term for myself, DH, DC7 & DC4 to have something to look forward to.

Just wondered if there's any alternative, lower key options than the usual legoland, alton towers etc (which we love) but somewhere where theres still stuff the kids will enjoy. We're in east anglia, happy to travel up to 3 hours.

There’s lots to do at Woburn Safari Park. When we stayed in the area, we also took the Dc to SnoZone at Milton Keynes for a sledding sessions and the new interactive experience.
We also did a short stay in the Chilterns and took the dc to Bekonscot model village and the Roald Dahl museum and story centre. On the way back we spent the day at Aldenham Country Park (where there’s 100 Aker Wood, a farm and a massive adventure play area!)
