Windsor to Kingston

Any Londoners out there who could help? I'm staying in Windsor on Friday 7th October and then have 2 nights booked in Kingston. Train strikes have just been announced for the Saturday. How can I get to Kingston, from Windsor, without a train?

Bus or cab?

Uber? Just checked and right now it's £34 from Kingston to Windsor

Or hire a car if you're going back to Windsor afterwards

It's about 39 minutes by road so a taxi or Uber is your best bet (or there may be a bus?)

Can you go by boat? Both are on the Thames

If you can get to Staines there’s a bus from there, the 216.

Or if you could get to Heathrow it’s the x26 bus.

Not all train lines are affected. You can probably get a bus towards Heathrow (ie Staines or Hounslow) then change.

The Heathrow buses from Windsor will take you via Slough, not Staines

Oh that's Ok, was just a bit concerned you might want to go futher afield and the buses around Kingtson are not great.
