Anything we can do in or around Lincoln on day of Queens funeral?

Unfortunately the day of the Queens funeral (Monday 19th Sept) is the 1st day of our holiday in Lincoln. We'd be travelling up from Cardiff on the day- we usually like to set off very early on holiday and do a few things before checking into our hotel. It was all planned with a couple of activities before we booked into our hotel (earliest we can book in is 2pm). The activities we had planned are now closed for the funeral luckily the pub attatched to the hotel is opening so we can at least have an evening meal but otherwise we are stuck.

I suppose we could stay home and watch the funeral and travel later in the afternoon but it means missing the entire first day of a much needed holiday. We can't move anything around as on the Tuesday I have a VIP experience day at a wildlife park all booked (this was my 60th birthday present) so we do need to go up on Monday so as to ensure we are there on time for that.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know of anything that would be open on the day that we could do instead? Happy to travel a little further in the area but everything I am phoning or finding online appears to be closing that day.

I should mention that I have mobility limitations and use a mobilty scooter so it needs to be accessible.

Maybe stop off for lunch and a relaxing walk at Sherwood Pines
