Pick between hotels - halloween family trip to London london

So, plan is:

Dept Sun 30th

Mon 31st Legoland

Tues 1st go into London

We'd 2nd fly home

Would you book a hotel beside Heathrow (Heathrow Windsor Mariott) to be close to Legoland and then have further to travel into London

OR

Legoland Hotel

We would be flying in/out Heathrow

Depends. What do you want to do in London? Will you have a car to get to legoland? Which country is home?

No, I'd stay in London and not bother with Legoland (or if you really must then travel from London). It will only be open for a short day in October - 6 hours so that just means sitting around a Heathrow hotel.

As much as can be done in a day with dc (7, 5, 3) whistle-stop tour eg Buckingham Palace, Downing St, Hamleys

Why do you think only open 6hrs on Halloween 31st Oct?

Yeah, some attractions won't be open and the park itself is only open 10-4 at that time of year.

Most schools in England go back after half term on the 31st so legoland is only open 10-4. If you can change your days slightly they’re open 10-6 all of the week before.

As you’re using public transport I’d probably stay in London - somewhere around Waterloo would be ideal - and get the train to Windsor and then bus or taxi on to legoland
