As a kid my family had a static caravan at Bridlington. I always wanted to get one for my family but couldn't afford it. But I was amazed to discover how affordable small yachts are. I got a Westerly Centaur for £5000. There are cheaper ones available too that would also serve as holiday accommodation. Moorings are far cheaper than ground rent for a caravan too! It's so great. I cant recommend it highly enough. When people hear I have a boat they think I must be spending lots but actually its super affordable! People don't realise. If you're in a situation similar to mine you should definitely look at Yachts.
