Can anyone recommend things to do, places to visit and eat in Weymouth for a week trip please?

Visit Portland Bill. Open top bus trip to Portland. We mostly spend time on the beach. Good chippy on the corner near the clock tower.

The beach
A treasure trail
Coastal walk
Amusements and funfair by beach
Harbour/river walks, plus there are nature reserves at one end of the beach and past the harbour

Take a short drive to Lulworth Cove and walk the coastal path to Durdle Door and back, you won't regret it.

Also second Portland bill, you can get an annual pass for same price as day entry and revisit anytime within the year.

Meant Nothe Fort, not Portland Bill.

Sea Life Centre
Crabbing along the harbour, pavilion pier
Abbotsbury swannery
Nothe Fort
Overcombe corner for paddleboard hire
Maiden Castle for a walk
Ringstead Bay for less crowded beach

We went last year with our then 22 m.o for 5 days.

The beach is lovely and if the weather’s good you can have a few bucket-and-spade days

The aquarium is good fun and has a little playground and splash park

Walk around the old marina looking at all the boats, and out to the pier. Some nice pubs and bars round there too.

You can hire buckets and nets and try your hand at crabbing

The Sambo Rodizio restaurant is a little bit of a walk from the town centre but well worth it for the food! Otherwise there’s plenty of fish and chip shops to take your pick from. Mona’s Thai restaurant was also pretty yummy, we had a takeaway from there one night.

Bear in mind you will absolutely need to book ahead if you want to go anywhere for dinner and probably lunch too!

Lulworth Cove is a not too long drive away, as is Corfe Castle which has a gorgeous little village you can walk around, a model village and a train station where you can get a steam train to Swanage.

Portland bill is lovely for a wander.
We discovered The Rodwell Trail when we were there earlier this year - really nice walk / cycle / running route
There's a nice walk at Lodmoor, as well as crazy golf and the sealife centre
If you want a day out, Monkey World isn't too far
Have a lovely time!
