Weekend break with autistic DD (8)

I’m hoping to take DD away for a couple of nights in the summer hols, sort of a city break I guess, but have not got far beyond that in terms of planning.

Any recommendations? I’m thinking a nice hotel in somewhere like York or Harrogate, but am open on location, and to do stuff she’ll enjoy, like splashing in the swimming pool, National Trust places, going to a cafe.

Thanks in advance for any location / hotel / activity recommendations. She doesn’t like places that are massively busy or noisy.

We did a city break to Birmingham and did Cadbury World, ThinkTank, National Sealife and Lego Discovery Centre
The Sea Life Centre has special quiet sessions www.visitsealife.com/birmingham/explore/events/quiet-at-the-aquarium/

Avoid Edinburgh in august if you don’t like crowds as the festival fringe is back this year!
York is great for a city break but will probably be busy. Holiday Inn and Novotels often have pools.
