Seaside towns with harbours

Hi, am looking to go away for a week next June and can anyone recommend a lovely harbour location with nice restaurants. Just husband and I going. We loved Weymouth this year and spent many afternoons at the harbour watching the boats go by but fancy trying somewhere different.

Any suggestions welcome, thank you! (We live in Bucks and happy to travel up to 4 hours approx by car)

Cowes

Or if you don’t mind a longer boat trip, St Helier or St Peter Port

I'm going to third Whitby. We are just on our way back (I'm in the car as I type) and we've had the best time. I can't wait to come again!

snowstorm2012 · 03/06/2022 11:59

Whitby seems very popular so will have a look, thank you 👍🏼

I was going to suggest nipping over to Guernsey! Beautiful, although not sure what the flight prices are like these days.

Brixham or Weymouth.

@snowstorm2012
Sorry to be negative but I hated Whitby. I have been a few times and I just don't like it at all.
It gets very busy and crowded and I didn't find anywhere nice to sit around the harbour for food.

Lots of cheap cafes and fish and chip shops though.
