London Accommodation

Planning on taking the DC to London for a few days, up to a week, later this year. What is the best accommodation option without breaking the bank? Really don't fancy several nights all in a Premier Inn room.

Can anyone recommend apartments? Or are they crazy expensive? Any site recommendations to search? Also best location - for the main sites, museums etc I guess.

I have only been to London a handful of times and stayed with friends (none who live there now!).

Airbnb prob best bet - and look where they are in relation to tube/bus routes. You may be able to base yourself further out than you think. Also benefit of being able to do some self catering eg breakfast which will save a few pennies

We had a lovely stay at London Bridge Hotel. It is very convenient, right near London Bridge, Borough Market and The Shard. It is a boutique hotel and we got an amazing room with breakfast at an excellent rate. It was so clean and quiet. We will definitely stay there again as it is so convenient tube-wise, and Borough Market is such fun.
