Hoping to get into London with the kids next week. How easy is to get on a Thames boat / Uber and go between destinations? Is it like the tube where you tap in and out with a contactless card? Is it worth pre booking?

yes its easy to just pay contactless but the queues will be horrific this week with the school holidays and jubilee. where are you thinking of going?

Thinking possibly Tuesday or Wednesday, the queues probably will be a nightmare with half term too. I only want to do one trip, we'll tube anywhere else just wanted to go on a boat for the novelty as the kids would enjoy.

You can pre book tickets on the thames clipper site, you type in which piers you want to get on and off at, theres always seats, they only book enough passengers for each seat. Its a nice way to see London and less busy than the tube.
