Where did I go?!

Random I know! But I remember visiting an attraction in either Norfolk or Lowestoft (no further south than this) that had a old fashioned street inside with shopfronts and houses.

It must've been some sort of museum, and I remember they had a really good cafe and gift shop.

I think there was some ww2 stuff there too. Where did I go?

Not Time and tide museum, Great Yarmouth?

Thursford? They are known for their Christmas spectacular but also have a little parade of indoor old fashioned shops and also a cafe and gift shop. In Norfolk.

Definitely wasn't York! But I'd love to go there (added to my tripadvisor list...)

Not time and tide or the transport museum either.
Now, I know I'm not imagining it as I spoke to my dad and he remembered going too. Just not sure where it was!

Abbey House Museum at Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds has one of those, in case you're really confused by the location?

It was definitely in Norfolk or Suffolk. I'm wondering if it's long since closed...

Some great suggestions though for future trips!

Sounds very much like the Victorian village at Flambards but that's not Suffolk or Norfolk.

I have been to flambards! But not with my dad, so it's not that one, similar though.

I think wherever it was must've closed down.
It's a very specific memory as my parents and I stayed in Norfolk after my mum was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, mums no longer here to ask.
