Travelling to Blackpool on train and need advice on good hotel that is walking distance to everywhere, as no car, and ideally walking distance to the beach. 2 days stay and advice on what to do. Obviously walking from train to hotel.

This gets good reviews. It's 250 yds from Blackpool South station. There are two stations. Has wifi, and described as beachside. Very near to the Sandcastle water park, and one of the piers. TBH if you want to do other stuff, just get on a tram on the front. Its near Blackpool pleasure beach, and the Tower.

I stayed at the Imperial Hotel on the sea front Blackpool North shore at the end of last year. I like the faded grandeur and photos of all the famous people that had stayed there like the beatles. At the time they were renovating some parts so might be even nicer now. I like the pleasure beach, going on a tram, fish and chips. Hope you have a good trip.

I’ve stayed at the Big Blue a few times , although not for a few years , and that was lovely .

Thank you for replies. Will look onto Imperial Hotel. Have planned to try tram ride. I'm sure my 9 year old will enjoy that.

I second The Imperial. And there's a slightly creepy (in a good way) swimming pool in the basement.

Hi there - is it just you and your daughter?

Sandcastle Water Park is amazing!!! I want to go back it was so much fun. We went in the morning and it wasn't crazy busy. It started to get busier by the afternoon but we were heading out by then.

Also, friends of ours recommended Keetoo, which you can use to book attractions and experiences all over the country and they give extra value. Helps to make the money go further and is flexible. We've used it in York and London. They live in Blackpool and I think they've used it to visit quite a few places in Blackpool that are quite close together, I think. Maybe worth looking at
