Hi I'm looking at a trip to Haven:Butlins this summer with 2 adults and two small children for 4 nights!
As we are in a budget we need to look at spending money now! We want to stay in a self catering caravan/apartment and eating out for a meal twice and also entertainment/drinks in the evening/days out but on a budget.

How much do you think you would spend/how much we need to take with us !

Totally lost! Thanks xx

Eating out twice I'd say around £50 per meal, but obviously depends where you go. If you can get off site it's likely to be cheaper. Fish & Chips or pizza takeout would be even cheaper.

If there's a supermarket nearby, stock up on breakfasts, lunches, snacks, drinks, ice creams. I'd say about £20 per day.

Evening drinks with soft drinks for the dc around £15 a round.

That's around £250.

I would be with you and say 400. Only because the kids will want to get 'stuff'!

I'd say that might be ok OP. I'd personally do a food shop (buy things for picnic lunches/big breakfasts and snacks to take with you, any alcohol/goodies you may like too) minimum £80-100 for a holiday shop.

£50 per meal - yes agree as you say children are young.

Again I don't know if you drink but the entertainment drinks, snacks, amusements (depending on DC's age) etc are really expensive and I would say around £30/£40 per night if you drink.

Then there's costs for trips/day time activities (especially if the weather is bad) - have a look online at the park activities as it's often cheaper if you buy a pass. Do you have NT membership - you could see if any near by? I would say more £500/£600 from experience.

Also my advice would be to purchase any bucket and spade, kites, beach balls etc from B&M or online before you go x

Have you priced up Butlins with breakfast and dinner included?
