Unusual Conference Venues - Birmingham

Wise Mumsnetters - can anyone recommend an unusual / quirky conference / meeting room with accommodation included or nearby in Brum? It’s a small meeting - about 20 people - but we have delegates from different countries so I want to showcase the best of Birmingham (which unfortunately I don’t know well), instead of sticking them all in a big standard Ibis or Crowne Plaza. Any brilliant ideas? It’s for mid May, if that matters. Thank you 🙏

Hotel du Vin, not unusual/quirky but it is gorgeous.

In that vein maybe The Grand? Though that would be £££££ I imagine.

Birmingham and Midland Institute. Eight conference rooms, of varying sizes. Right in the centre, next to the Council buildings,

Birmingham Gun Barrel Proof House. Town centre (ish).

Ooops. Just noticed that you wanted conference+accomodation.Sad

I think The Custard Factory might have rooms for hire. Lots of their soaces would tick the quirky box.

I've been to a conference at the Institute and it was lovely. The new library has meetings rooms, as does the old one but the new library is iconic Birmingham for sure.
I've heard the conference facilities at the Motorcycle museum are very good, and its close to the airport and loads of hotels within 5 minutes in a taxi. But not central.

I would have suggested Fazeley studios or the Old Library at the Custard factory but the whole of digbeth is being dug up for the tram extension & HS2 at the minute so it is unpleasant to try to get to anywhere round there.

I think Ikon gallery have a meeting room.

I went to a lovely conference at thestudio ( studiovenues.co.uk/ ) which is really close to new st station so I'm sure you could also find accommodation nearby

I was just going to suggest this! Quirky and very central in town plus nice food options

14 miles away from Birmingham but The Snowdome at Tamworth is a bit different and has conferencing facilities
