Help with ID for easyJet UK flight

I'm hoping someone knows the answer?

Can I travel on a UK domestic flight using a driving licence that expired last July?

For a variety of reasons it's the only photo ID I have with me and I need to get home quicker than the Megabus I originally booked.

The website specifies a valid licence. A passport can be used for a few years after it expires on domestic flights but it looks like an expired driving licence can't be.

I have tried DM'ing both easyJet and British Airways on twitter to see if there's any hope. I might just need to try and find an earlier bus or train

have you got hold luggage? i'm sure both BA and easyjet used to only check ID if you had hold bags. If you had hand luggage only they didn't bother.

Sorted. Loganair have confirmed my licence will be accepted by them.

That's great, glad they got back to you.
