London day trip

Hello,
I'm taking a trip to London next week with my 5 year old. We are arriving around 10am in Euston and have an appointment at 3pm, also near Euston. Does anyone have any recommendations of things to do before the appointment?

Current thoughts are a museum in the morning, possibly one of the following but also open to suggestions:

  • Museum of London
  • Transport Museum
  • Postal Museum

Any good playgrounds people would recommend in this area? I read about Coram's fields, is this nice?

I don't think there is time to sightsee this time. It has been requested we go on a Tube train, bus would also go down well.

Thanks!

The transport museum is definitely the most engaging for that age. Coram’s Fields is a bit of a disappointment and you won’t need to go to a playground if you visit the transport museum. There’s so much for kids to clamber on and even a play zone for under 7s www.ltmuseum.co.uk/visit/families/all-aboard Don’t miss the Future Engineers gallery, although your son might be a bit too young for some of it. Afterwards you could watch the street entertainers in Covent Garden
