We are heading to Liverpool with DSs 10 and 7 for eldest DS birthday. He will be going to the match on the Saturday but we have the Friday and Sunday to fill.

Looking for any recommendations for things to do and places to eat if possible. Staying at the Pullman.

A very wise choice its a fantastic compact city.
Bold Street is excellent for eating, its the street with the Bombed out church at the top.
Bundobust of you Like Indian? Leaf, La Parilla is first class Mexican its only spicy if you ask for it, half way up bold street on the left.

Lark Lane is a short drive out of the city with loads of eating places and a short walk from Sefton Park.
Some ideas here

Loads of Museums
Williamson Tunnels

For me one of the best trips we ever did was the speed boat trip around the Docks, some have no speed limit.

Yes to Williamson Tunnels and also the Quirky Quarter

If you like pizza, try Crazy Pedros or, for a range of different options, Duke Street Market.

World Museum is good for all ages. Book early for the (free) planetarium shows.

There are also a few options for Treasure Trails which you can download or print in advance.

Plus there's usually something fun happening at the docks and always an ice cream van.

Thanks both!

At Gusto, kids can build their own pizza. They each get a sourdough pizza base, tomato sauce and a choice of 3 toppings. Arrange your toppings, then hand it back to us to cook. Try the Bombolini for dessert.

Not necessarily! I only remembered there was a recent previous thread because I’d posted on it.

(But Liverpool does come up a lot - countless enthusiastic fans!)

There's also the western approaches battle of the Atlantic war rooms and the maritime museum in the Albert dock

Imagine that looks amazing. It's a hands on science experiment type play area. Been wanting to go for ages.
