british holidays parks??

what are they like? will i really hate it? a few friends have been to haven and butlins parks and said they were a bit ahem >>whispers

we might be going to butlins,we are not chavvy!i just want cheap holidat for children and change of scenery for us.

oh i didn't mean it offensively moljam. not even my words - just what other people have said.

fwiw i remember going to pontins when i was little. me and my brother and sister loved it but i can remember my mum hating every second!!

i didnt take offense at all!!!!i think it is more for the children than the adults,i cant imagine why people go without children?

dh has now decided we probably cant go(right after i stupidly told dc).am cross as children would have loved it.

Looks nice and reviews sound good.

Depends on which one you go to. We booked privately last year and went to Lydstep Bay in Wales which is predominantly Haven but it was fab and not at all chavvy. It even has its own private beach. Do be careful though because we were going to go to Ty Mawr and only changed our minds after reading terrible reviews online which we later found were all substantiated.

We once went to a British Holiday Parks place in Essex (we were camping) and it was the worst place I've ever been to (I have even been to Butlins at Minehead).

There were bouncers on the clubhouse door, the facilities were rubbish and the place stank.

I have been to butlins and remember loving it, as an adult, i would have to agree with your friends. Its become very money geared, and dd was "I want, I want" all week, drunks, loud shouting in evening, all fast food restaurants and terrible shows, imopssible to get a seat ect

Haven isn't so bad in my opinion.

Are you looking at caravans? Tents? apartment's or hotels??
