Hi all. My birthday is coming up and I have been told to choose a night away. I'm centrally based. Love a good pub, nothing too fancy with somewhere to mooch during the day. Any recommendations?

The new forest is lovely, lots of independent pubs and forest walks, plenty of spa hotels arround too!

Bradford-on-Avon. Lots of independent shops, a river and a canal to walk along.

Conwy is a great base, Its a Medieval walled town we cant have many of those left?
Llandudno is a Victorian seaside place only 10 mins away also do able by bus.
Aberfalls is a short drive away its spectacular

Bath, Cheltenham (Cotswolds) Bristol, Leeds, York. Lots of great pubs and places to stay in the Cotswolds.
