Hi,

Where can we go with 4 year old ( last one before he starts school) that's got a beach and plenty to keep him entertained?

Ideally 2-3 hours away from North West. Ta

We had a great holiday in Padstow when our eldest was around that age, lots to do in the area - Eden Project, farms with playgrounds, Tintagel and Padstow itself is a lovely town to spend time in.

You can't beat Anglesey at that age. Lligwy Beach.
Further afield Tenby

Or Llandudno - great if the weather isn't warm too

We had a lovely holiday with our four year old and new born in Whitby.

Scarborough or Bridlington. Both have lots of keep a 4yo entertained even in wet weather

Another vote for Scarborough! Beautiful coastline, plenty of attractions and a good size town. Our holiday let was born out of magical childhood holidays there several decades ago and it is still a lovely place for little visitors 🌊..

My dc LOVED Bitlins at that age, especially the Tots Weekends.

North Wales.

Conway has a castle so you can play knights and princesses. There is also the UK's smallest house.

Close by, Llandudno is a nice traditional seaside town with a prom and also a cable car to the top of Great Orme.

I’ve got a thread going on ideas for our trip to the Cheddar area. Lots of great ideas on there perfect for with a 4yo

North Wales
Possibly a caravan park with kids entertainment?
Loads of choice Conwy is a fantastic walled town, tell him the history show him the Owain Glyndwr statue, walk the walls of the town, fish for crabs.

If he likes the Romans a good place to stop on the journey is Dyserth, walk to the top of the waterfall, show him the caves in the woods, short drive to the Roman Villa in Prestatyn. Look at this route
