Whitehaven

DP & I have booked a short break in Whitehaven in May, with ddog.

There doesn't seem to be loads to do according to TripAdvisor. We would like to be able to go for some lovely long walks, eat some nice food & have a drink or 2.

Does anyone have any recommendations or ideas?

The coast path south to St Bees is nice. You can do a loop and come back inland via Sandwith.

Other than that I'd recommend heading inland a bit to the western Lake District. Ennerdale is not too far away - there are some nice walks by Ennerdale water, and a lovely community cafe in Ennerdale Bridge.
