Hi. I live on the Bucks/Beds/Northants border & looking for recommendations for lovely market towns to visit for the day. Happy to drive up to 1&1/2 hrs. Somewhere that’s got decent shopping & restaurants. Thanks

Moreton in Marsh and/or Chipping Campden - they could even both be done in one day.

I second Stamford - it’s got some decent shops, nice cafes and is quite a pretty place. I’ve not eaten at any restaurants there, but I think there are some good places (my SIL used to live there and recommends it).
