Hotels near london O2

Not sure if this is the right topic area for this, sorry if not.
My friend and I are going to london in March for the C2C festival at london O2.
We have booked a hotel temporarily (not got to pay until the day) but it isnt ideal as it’s a double bed but we booked it in case we can’t find anywhere as it’s better than nothing. It’s not the end of the world if we can’t find anywhere but it would be nice to have separate beds if we can!

We are not from london and don’t know it overly well, so I just wondered if anyone knows any good hotels close enough to O2 that we are not spending a fortune on travel as it’s a bit costly anyway! We are there for 4 nights.
Thanks :)

The intercontinental at the o2 is my favourite hotel!! It's not cheap admittedly but can get some decent deals if you shop around..

Have you checked air bnb for an apartment?

tpmumtobe · 30/01/2022 20:42

Are you happy to travel a couple of stops at the start/end of each day or do you want to be walking distance from the 02? What's your budget?

Canning Town Ibis would be a good option. Just one stop on the Jubilee Line: all.accor.com/hotel/A070/index.en.shtml?utm_campaign=seo+maps&utm_medium=seo+maps&utm_source=google+Maps

@tpmumtobe don’t mind a short Uber or tube but just don’t want to be travelling for ages as it’ll be late too. Budget of £700 I would say

That’s the one we’ve booked actually! @tpmumtobe

Premier inn Greenwich? It’s a short (easy) bus ride from the o2, it’s in proper Greenwich do a nice place to stay plus it’s much easier to get the bus after the o2 than the tube (tube is rammed buses are usually half empty)

tpmumtobe · 30/01/2022 20:51

Ha ha! Great minds Grin

If you don't mind a quick Uber or bus then somewhere in Greenwich itself would be easy and it's a lovely spot to stay.

nancy75 · 30/01/2022 20:53

Sorry not premier inn, the one I’m thinking is an ibis

nancy75 · 30/01/2022 20:55

There is also a Novotel Greenwich but that’s slightly more expensive than the ibis.
I’ve been to the o2 a lot with Dd (we don’t live very far) I always park in Greenwich & get the bus because the tube really is awful when you come out

There's an Inkeeper's Lodge in Greenwich. We stayed there for a mate's wedding when we didn't fancy the tube home. Not sure if they have twin rooms or just doubles but it was great and good value.
