Dog friendly hotels

Looking for dog friendly hotels in the south / 2 hours from Hampshire area. Would love to book some nights away but don't fancy the whole weekend/cottage expense! TIA

I was about to make a recommendation but then realised it's in Hampshire and you're looking to go away from there.
But in case it's any use, and for anyone else interested, I stayed at Burley Manor in the new forest with mine, we were made very welcome and he was fussed over! A small fee for him, can't remember now how much but maybe around £30/nt.

Sofitel, ibis and Novotel chain are all dog friendly

Knoll House and Moonfleet Manor in Dorset

Hotel Continental in Whitstable

The Swan hotel in Alresford is lovely, a family run independant who have dog freindly rooms. Lots of nice walks nearby too.

That's Alresford, Hampshire btw, not the Essex one.

I think it's further for you but the Scarlet in Cornwall is very dog friendly- and is atop the best dog friendly beach at Mawgan Porth
