Burnham on Sea - Recommendations for family things to do and places to eat please 😊

We are going to Burnham on Sea in March and would love some ideas on things to do and places to eat please. Our DD is 9 months old so we were thinking of wildlife type parks and walks, that sort of thing. Food wise we are quite boring so good Sunday roasts and standard fare is what we are looking for!

Many thanks

Animal farm adventure park is good for little ones. Used to go all the time when my kids were small. You can do all along the river from the apex park to the beach which is quite nice. Weston super mare sealife centre is a nice little trip and you can go in and out all day, it’s quite small, but I like the rays.

I can’t think of anywhere specific to eats as not really been for ages as we’re closer to the Dorset coast.

We go regularly to BoS to see family. For years there has genuinely not been a decent place to eat in the whole town. Its been a real problem when we've wanted to go out for lunch.

There is a curry restaurant that I've heard is decent, but I've never been as it's not been open when we've been up on a Sunday.

There is now a Costa in town, so at least you know what you're getting with that. And a cafe opened up last year called May's and my god, the food is edible, they have a licence, the cakes are home made. It's such a relief to be able to go out and have something edible.
Their menu is on their Facebook page m.facebook.com/maysseasidecafe/

There is a wetherspoons, which might be a goer, but I've not been in it so can't say one way or the other!

A bit further out is the Hobbs Boat, which is a pub attached to a premier Inn. Decen roast dinner / pub food.

I had a thread on here a couple of years ago asking the same question and the Thatchers Cider Farm was recommended.

I'll try and find the thread for you OP

No sea life centre in weston anymore, Sunday roast you could try Brent House, not too far from Burnham

Thatchers do really good food.
Hobbs boat is nice.
If you’re after a massive carvery, you want to go to The Brent House Hotel.
The Sea life centre at Weston has closed down and is now a (shit) restaurant.
You can walk along the prom at BoS and look at the lighthouse- it’s a funny shape!
There is a wetlands and willow place nearby ish which has a little museum to wander around.
A few national trust properties nearby too.

Oh, when did that go? Mind you I’ve not been to west on for about 5 years.

Depending how far you want to travel but puxton park is close by and nice for a day out. Noah's arc farm zoo is also lovely.

Thank you all 😊
