Help! Train weekend away

Location advice needed!

Looking to go on a weekend away either late this month or early next month. Needs to be accessible by train from London and baby friendly. Don't mind changing trains but ideally not more than a couple of hours on the train.

Rental because of baby. Would love somewhere with walks nearby and good places to eat.

Gloucester. There's lovely walking in the Wye Valley AONB near there.

Ludlow (change at Newport) but it's a fantastic town for food, pubs and lots of walks in the Shropshire hills.

Canterbury or York

If you do decide to stay in Bath, look out for the Fox and Kit Cafe in The Corridor (not too far from the Abbey) www.foxandkitcafe.com/
and/or the tried and tested cafe at the Egg (children's) Theatre
My Small World is a gorgeous toy shop almost opposite the train station.
There are plenty of mature parks, or go for a walk along the pretty Kennet and Avon canal. If you don't mind tackling some hills, you can get some gorgeous views.

If you wanted a babysitter, there are lots of trainee Norland Nannies about.

Plenty of restaurants do Deliveroo/Uber Eats if your baby has other ideas about eating out.
