Looking at a possible cottage rental in Torrington for Feb half term with 3 DDs and a dog. Is there much to do around there with the kids and dog at this time of this please? TIA

We stayed in Torrington in the summer. Weather wasn't great, we enjoyed walks/lunch in Instow, arcades at Westward Ho, went to the cinema in Barnstaple on a wet day, crabbing in Appledore, Dartington Crystal outlet/tour, a quad biking place nearby good in wet weather! Lots of off road cycling nearby on Tarka trail, there was a bike hire place nearby.

There's quite a lot of historical stuff to see in Torrington itself, too, if that's your thing. Including a well preserved field systems cultivated by medieval lepers, a church that exploded in the civil war. Excellent old fashioned cafe in the centre of town too, the Green Lantern.
