Spa break alone

I’m thinking of going on a spa weekend by myself in February.

What are the better spas to go to alone?

It needs to be in central-ish England. Ideally with a 20-25 meter pool. Anyone who can tell me about one with an outdoor pool will get my undying gratitude.

Have you been to Moddershall Oaks in Staffordshire? The pool there isn't very big but it tends to be relatively quiet to use. They have a lovely heated outdoor pool there too, not really one for swimming in, just nice to relax in looking over fields . Lots of spaces to relax in, a cafe for snacks and drinks and a nice restaurant. Plenty of people fo there alone too.

If you have the money as it’s ££££ Ragdale Hall near Melton Mowbray.

It’s actually better alone, lots of silent relaxation rooms, a full hydro area with candlelit cavern, infinity pool of the roof, fitness and wellness classes and the most amazing treatments.

Technically the infinity is outdoor but not sure you could lap it

I was actually hoping someone would mention somewhere better than Ragdale as it looks so good but their booking system is down right now

Thinking about it I definitely need a lapable pool.

The Oxford Belfry Hotel. The spa there is amazing. Lots of treatment options and the pool is nice too. Lots of relaxation time and the restaurant does lots of tasty food as well. Recommended. If you can, use the gym and book a room for a night in addition.
