I’m going to see a show at the Novello theatre and planning to stay in London for a couple of nights. Travelling by train to Kings Cross, where is good to stay that is a cab ride rather than trying to negotiate the tube with luggage and a teen please?

The Premier Inn on Duke's Road is relatively cheap and pretty cheerful and a ten minute walk from King's Cross and a 25 minute walk to the Novello.

I've stayed there a few times and it's always been clean, comfortable and quiet. I like the rooms on the ground floor behind reception if they'll give you one . The ground slopes so if you get one overlooking the car park you're effectively on the first floor but very convenient for coming and going and the restaurant. The food is alright too.
