Cosy Christmas break

DD and I will be alone for Christmas this year and I thought it might be nice to go away for a bit of a break (probably after the 25th). I'd love to go somewhere new that I don't know already. We are in the SW but I don't mind a bit of a drive. We'll have our dog with us so a city break is out unfortunately. Can you recommend somewhere with:

  • lovely walks/countryside
  • cute towns with nice shops to browse in/cosy cafes
We love the seaside but open to inland too.

Thanks!

Aldeburgh, and from there visit Southwold, Woodbridge and Rendlesham Forest

Rye? Pretty antique shops, little cafes and beautiful ancient pubs with rooms A ruined castle to walk out to and bracing sea walks.

Dont dismiss the city break as we still take our dog just a little harder to find accommodation

RWST holiday lodges in North Wales offers some of the most scenic walks the UK has to offer and is only a 2 minute walk from the historic market town Llanrwst!
