London weekend

I am off to London soon for a few days (I live in the north). Going to the Ritz for afternoon tea (in the evening) as part of it as was a gift. Can anyone recommend any other decent places to eat that aren’t too expensive for lunch.. and the best areas to aim for for shopping. Ideally not designer, just high street or independent reasonably priced shops. Only there a few days so would like to make the most of it.. see a few sights, a few hours shopping and a nice lunch somewhere. London is huge so I’d like to plan ahead. Thank you in advance.

Staying over in the Waterloo area by the way

The best area for shopping is around Camden. Lots of unique shops around Seven Dials and high street shops down Long Acre and Neal Street.
For lunch, I’d recommend Sticks n Sushi, The Real Greek, The Wallace Restaurant, Bocca di Lupo and Zedel.

If you are staying at Waterloo it’s a short stroll to the South Bank area. There are loads of places to eat round there and it’s really nice.

Thank you Comefromaway .. hoping we can walk to a lot of sights and some shops but I really don’t know London. I have been before, but I still have no idea where is ‘best’ to go
